Mesa, AZ (January 26, 2021) – A multi-car accident on US 60 near Higley Road resulted in at least one injured victim on Tuesday morning.

According to officers from the Mesa Police Department, emergency crews and local authorities were called to the scene near the Higley Road off-ramp around 8:00 a.m. Authorities say a sedan was traveling westbound on US 60 when it collided with another passenger vehicle, causing a crash in the right lanes of the highway near Higley and restricting access to the entire highway.

First responders said that initial reports stated that up to three vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction collision. EMTs also responded to the scene shortly after the wreck occurred to treat victims, though the severity of the victims’ injuries is unclear.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the victims are not being identified at this time.
