Mesa, AZ (November 10, 2019) – A woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Mesa.
According to reports from the Mesa Police Department, the woman was hit by a vehicle on University Drive, east of Country Club Drive, on Sunday evening. It’s unclear at this time if she was in a crosswalk, but authorities say she suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital via ambulance in critical condition.
Police say the driver fled the scene and has not been located, and they have not released a description of the suspect or the vehicle at this time. Police were at the scene of the accident and investigated for several hours. No other details have been released, but the accident remains under investigation at this time.
