Peoria, AZ – UPDATE: Randall Mancebo Dies in Drowning Accident at Lake Pleasant
Peoria, AZ (November 17, 2019) – A 55-year-old man who died while diving at Lake Pleasant on Saturday night has been identified, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials say the man, 55-year-old Randall Mancebo, was diving with a group of five others near Lake Pleasant Harbor when he became distressed underwater. MCSO says Mancebo surfaced from a depth of 60 feet with another diver and became unresponsive shortly thereafter, apparently due to possible issues with his scuba equipment or suit.
A group of divers pulled Mancebo to the shore and began to perform CPR before EMTs arrived at the scene. First responders arrived within minutes and began attempting life-saving measures, but Mancebo was pronounced dead on the scene.
Our condolences go out to the family of Randall Mancebo at this time.
