Phoenix, AZ – 2-Car Crash Causes Injuries at Deck Park Tunnel on I-10

Phoenix, AZ (September 14, 2019) – Deputies from the Phoenix Police Department, as well as paramedics and local fire rescue units, responded to a two-car accident at the Deck Park Tunnel on Saturday.

Officials say the multi-vehicle crash happened on Interstate 10 westbound around 6:01 p.m. The two vehicles involved were traveling in the center lanes of I-10 at the end of the tunnel when they collided. Both vehicles, one red Dodge minivan, and a red Toyota Corolla came to a stop in the middle lane after the collision. According to reports, the driver of the minivan side-swiped the sedan while attempting to merge lanes, though authorities are still working to determine the cause of the wreck at this time.

Ambulances were on the scene and transported at least one person to a local hospital in Phoenix.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
