Phoenix, AZ (April 9, 2020) – A two-car accident blocked multiple lanes of Interstate 17 near Grant Road on Tuesday and resulted in at least one injury.

Officials say that the crash occurred when multiple passenger vehicles collided in the left lanes of I-17 northbound past Grant Road around 3:30 p.m. Police and fire rescue units responded to the injury accident to assist victims and determine the cause of the wreck. They have not released the drivers’ information at this time. It appears that one of the vehicles, a bus, rear-ended another car, though it’s not clear how the accident initially occurred.

The accident remains under investigation at this time, and further details have not been released.
