Phoenix, AZ (March 27, 2020) – A mother and two small children were hospitalized after a three-car crash in Phoenix on Friday, police say.

Officers from the Phoenix Police Department say that the wreck happened around 7:00 p.m. in the area of 59th Avenue and McDowell Road. The two children were transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, while their mother was taken to a local trauma center. Police say that all are expected to survive, though they sustained serious injuries.

Whether speed or impairment was a factor remains undetermined, and it is not known what caused the crash at this time.

The collision is currently being investigated by the Phoenix Police Department.
