Phoenix, AZ – Bicyclist Struck & Killed at Bethany Home Rd & Central Ave
Phoenix, AZ (November 21, 2019) – A bicyclist has died after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday morning near Bethany Home Road and Central Avenue, according to Phoenix police officers.
Per a report from the Phoenix Police Department, authorities were dispatched to the accident around 3:15 a.m. They said the accident involved a bicyclist and another vehicle. The cyclist was crossing Bethany Home Road when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle. Phoenix paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred and transported the bicyclist to a local area hospital, though they later succumbed to their injuries.
Police have not identified the bicyclist but say that the driver remained at the scene and impairment was determined not to be a factor in the collision. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
