Phoenix, AZ – Car Crash Causes Injuries on L-101 at Cave Creek Rd

Phoenix, AZ (September 23, 2020) – A crash causing injuries forced a portion of Loop 101 before the Cave Creek Road off-ramp to close on Wednesday afternoon.

Phoenix police said an initial investigation indicated two cars traveling westbound on the L-101 Pima Freeway collided in the left lanes, causing a rear-end crash near the Cave Creek Road off-ramp around 5:30 p.m. It appears at least one victim was either treated at the scene or transported to the hospital via ambulance with injuries, though further details on their condition have not been released. It was also unclear whether the other victims involved in the collision were also injured.

An investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident continues at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for a full recovery.
