Phoenix, AZ (September 1, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash blocked the left lane of Interstate 17 near Anthem, north of Daisy Mountain Road, on Sunday afternoon.

Officials said that the wreck involved at least three sedans, which collided in the left lanes of I-17 northbound near milepost 230 around 1:15 p.m.

Fire rescue units, as well as police, were assisted injured victims and investigated the cause of the wreck. However, the extent of the victims’ injuries has not been released at this time.

All lanes reopened by 3:00 p.m., though traffic remained slow in the area for several hours.
