Phoenix, AZ – Crash Blocks Multiple Lanes on L-101 Near 16th St
Phoenix, AZ (July 15, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon, July 15th, blocked almost all lanes on L-101 eastbound near 16th Street.
According to officials, the injury accident occurred around 12:15 p.m. and appeared to involve multiple vehicles that collided in the center of the highway, blocking all lanes other than the HOV lane. Police and fire rescue authorities were on the scene, assisting victims and determining the cause of the wreck.
The incident obstructed traffic across all lanes of L-101, also known as the Pima Freeway. All lanes reopened just before 1:00 p.m., but officials are still investigating the wreck and have not released the victims’ information at this time.
