Phoenix, AZ – Details Emerge After Auto Accident on I-10

Phoenix, AZ (July 6, 2019) – An auto accident on Interstate 10, near the Salt River Bridge, shut down the westbound lanes of the freeway for more than an hour Saturday evening.

Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety say one person was ejected from the vehicle during the single-car accident. Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Captain Rob McDade said five more people were taken to the hospital after the serious auto accident.

One of the injured, a 17-year-old man, was in very serious condition; however, other injuries were considered minor.

The auto accident also caused heavy delays from the U.S. 60 transition ramp to the accident area.

Our thoughts go out to the victims involved for a quick recovery.
