Phoenix, AZ (September 17, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Phoenix early Thursday morning.

Per reports from the Phoenix Police Department, the crash happened near 16th Street and Campbell Avenue around 3:00 a.m. Sgt. Ann Justus with the Phoenix Police Department said that a man was crossing the street when he was hit by a car and sustained fatal injuries. The driver of that car fled the scene of the accident.

The man, later identified as 33-year-old Dustin Terbenson, was pronounced dead on the scene by local EMTs. Police did not provide a description of the suspect’s vehicle but have asked anyone with information to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151, or to remain anonymous, call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

The Phoenix Police Department’s investigation into the accident is ongoing.
