Phoenix, AZ – Family Seeking Information After Deadly Auto Accident Near 23rd Avenue
Phoenix, AZ (July 7, 2019) – A Valley family is seeking information after a deadly auto accident last Tuesday.
Steven J. Hoffman, 37, was hit and killed by a driver who drove onto the sidewalk and fled the scene, according to Phoenix police.
The incident occurred near 23rd Avenue and Dunlap Avenue around 12:20 a.m. Hoffman was reportedly walking east on the south sidewalk when a Ford Expedition, which was traveling east, drifted onto the sidewalk and hit him.
Police say that the driver of the Expedition failed to stop and continued east, turning south on 19th Avenue.
Hoffman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
