Phoenix, AZ – Fatal Crash At Van Buren St & I-17 Fwy
Phoenix, AZ (November 8, 2019) – One person was killed and the other suffered from critical injuries after a collision late into the evening on Thursday, November 7th. The accident happened at the intersection of Van Buren Street and Interstate-17 in Phoenix. A 31-year-old woman traveling on Van Buren Street reportedly collided with two other vehicles at around 10:30 p.m.
Reports from the scene indicated that the woman was driving a 2019 Kia Optima erratically, leaving and re-entering the roadway before striking the median. She ultimately collided with a Chevy Tahoe and a Jaguar stopped at the intersection. The driver of the Kia was killed on impact.
The Kia’s 29-year-old passenger sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized after the crash. No one else was reportedly injured. An investigation into the accident is currently underway.
