Phoenix, AZ – Fatality & Serious Injury Reported in Pedestrian Crash on I-17
Phoenix, AZ (May 27, 2020) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured after an accident involving a pedestrian on Interstate 17 near Indian School Road.
According to reports from authorities dispatched to the crash, the wreck occurred early on Monday. Crews pronounced one person dead at the scene, and another victim, a 30-year-old woman, was transported to the local hospital in serious condition. Todd Keller, Phoenix Fire Department spokesman, said that the northbound lanes of I-10 were closed at Indian School Road around 3:00 a.m. and reopened around 8:00 a.m.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety assisted and is still investigating the incident at this time.
