Phoenix, AZ – Infant Hospitalized After Drowning at 35th Ave & Bethany Home Rd


Phoenix, AZ (October 23, 2019) – Officials are investigating a near-drowning incident involving an infant in Phoenix.

According to authorities from the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred at a home near 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Fire rescue units were on the scene shortly after the incident occurred around noon on Tuesday. Firefighters said that the child was pulled from a backyard pool and transported to a local area hospital via ambulance, where the child remains in critical condition. Family members attempted CPR on the child before emergency crews arrived at the scene.
