Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in 2-Car Crash on L-101 Pima at McDowell Rd
Phoenix, AZ (February 1, 2020) – A crash involving two sedans resulted in at least one serious injury on Loop 101 on Saturday afternoon.
According to officers from the Phoenix Police Department, the wreck occurred when a sedan rear-ended another vehicle in the right southbound lanes of Loop 101, also known as the Pima Freeway. The collision occurred near the McDowell Road off-ramp around 6:50 p.m., and it appears that a chain-reaction accident resulted from the initial wreck.
Police and fire rescue units were dispatched to the scene to assist at least one seriously injured victim. It appeared that Phoenix paramedics transported that victim to the hospital via ambulance, but there is no update on their current condition.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
