Phoenix, AZ (December 6, 2019) – Injuries were reported after a vehicle crashed into the back of a small school bus carrying several children in Phoenix on Friday afternoon.

According to reports from Phoenix police and fire officials, the accident occurred on an access road adjacent to Interstate 17 near Northern Avenue. Pictures from the scene showed the front end of the car heavily damaged after hitting the school bus. The side of the bus showed it belonged to the Arizona State School for the Deaf and the Blind.

Phoenix police said none of the children on board were injured, but the bus driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Phoenix fire officials said the driver of the car was taken to a hospital in stable condition, also with minor injuries. Six students were taken off the bus and placed onto another one that was sent to transport them from the scene.

Further details were not immediately available, though authorities are still investigating the collision at this time.
