Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Wreck on SR 51 Near 32nd St
Phoenix, AZ (November 11, 2019) – Injuries were reported in a serious multi-car wreck that briefly shut down State Route 51 in north Phoenix on Monday evening.
According to officers from the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred on the northbound side of the highway near 32nd Street around 7:15 p.m. Officials from the Department of Transportation said that several lanes of the SR 51 were closed for about an hour while the wreck was being cleared and investigated. The on-ramp at Northern Avenue was also closed as officers worked to determine the cause of the accident.
Phoenix paramedics were on the scene to transport at least one victim to the hospital, though the extent of their injuries is not known at this time.
No other information was immediately available, but the accident remains under investigation.
