Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in Rear-End Crash on L-202 at Val Vista
Phoenix, AZ (July 16, 2020) – Two vehicles were involved in a car crash on Loop 202 Thursday afternoon, resulting in at least one injury on Loop 202.
According to authorities from the Phoenix Police Department, the accident occurred when the driver of a sedan collided with at least one other sedan on L-202 eastbound. Initial reports stated that the accident occurred close to the Val Vista ramp in the right lanes of L-202, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway. Fire crews and Phoenix EMTs responded to the scene and reported that victims were being treated at the scene. Rescue authorities say that at least one person may have transported to an area hospital.
The victims’ identifying information and current conditions have not been released at this time, however. The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident continues.
