Phoenix, AZ – Injury Accident Blocks L-202 Transition Ramp at I-10
Phoenix, AZ (August 9, 2019) – An injury accident on Friday evening, August 9th, blocked the HOV transition ramp from Loop 202 to Interstate 10.
Officials at the scene say that the multi-vehicle collision occurred around 7:40 p.m. when at least two sedans collided in the HOV transition ramp of L-202 westbound, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway, at I-10 westbound. Police and fire rescue units were on the scene shortly after the crash occurred and were assisting injured victims.
All lanes were cleared by 8:30 p.m., though the crash is still under investigation and the drivers’ information, as well as the extent of their injuries, have not been released.
