Phoenix, AZ – Man Dies After Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash at 69th Ave & McDowell Rd
Phoenix, AZ (November 17, 2020) – A man died on Monday night after his vehicle was hit by a truck, and police say that the driver is suspected of being impaired at the time of the crash.
Officers with the Phoenix Police Department said that the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. near 69th Avenue and McDowell Road. According to information collected at the scene, the driver of an F-150 truck was traveling westbound on McDowell Road when they collided with a minivan that was turning left onto McDowell from 69th Avenue.
The driver of the minivan was transported to the hospital via ambulance and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the F-150 was also taken to the hospital but sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Citing preliminary information, Phoenix police said that the F-150 driver is suspected of both impairment and speeding. However, the accident investigation is ongoing at this time.
