Phoenix, AZ – Man Hit & Killed by 2 Cars Near Indian School Rd & 53rd Ave
Phoenix, AZ (December 3, 2019) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department are investigating a deadly pedestrian accident near Indian School Road and 53rd Avenue.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a man was crossing at the intersection of Indian School Road and 53rd Avenue around 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday when he was struck by two westbound cars. He was declared dead on the scene by Phoenix paramedics.
Police are still investigating the cause of the collision at this time. Both of the drivers stopped after the crash and remained at the scene. Police say they were evaluated for signs of impairment and it was determined that neither driver was impaired.
Indian School Road was closed between 51st Avenue and Maryvale Parkway for the crash investigation, which remains ongoing.
