Phoenix, AZ (November 6, 2019) – A motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries after an accident late Wednesday night.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist struck a tire rim laying in the roadway from a recent car accident near Litchfield Park. The deadly crash closed Dysart Road between Glendale Avenue and Bethany Home Road for several hours.

Officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said the man was traveling northbound on Dysart Road on his motorcycle when he struck the debris in the road near Rose Lane. Maricopa paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the crash occurred, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist has not been identified at this time, though the crash remains under investigation.
