Phoenix, AZ (May 11, 2020) – A multi-vehicle crash blocked several lanes of Interstate 17 near 7th Avenue and resulted in injuries on Monday afternoon.

Local authorities said that the crash occurred when several cars and a large camper collided in the left lanes of I-17 eastbound around 1:30 p.m. Fire rescue and police units were on the scene to assist injured victims and determine the cause of the wreck, though they have not released the drivers’ information or the extent of the injuries sustained at this time.

The accident remains under investigation, and the roadway was closed for several hours while police cleared the scene.
