Phoenix, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on L-101 Pima at Via Linda

Phoenix, AZ (October 14, 2020) – A multi-car crash blocked several lanes of Loop 101 at Via Linda on Wednesday evening and resulted in at least one injury.

Officials say that the crash appeared to involve at least two cars that collided in the right lanes of L-101 northbound, also known as the Pima Freeway, at the Via Linda off-ramp around 9:30 p.m. Authorities from the Phoenix Police Department said that the accident appeared to be caused by a rear-end incident, but further details about the events leading up to the crash were not released.

Police and fire rescue units assisted injured victims and worked to determine the cause of the crash, which ended with at least one vehicle rolled over at the scene. EMTs were also at the scene and may have transported at least one victim to the hospital. However, authorities from the Phoenix Police Department have not released the victims’ information at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
