Phoenix, AZ – Officers Investigating Injury Car Crash on L-101 Agua Fria at Thomas Rd

Phoenix, AZ (January 27, 2021) – A portion of Loop 101 before the Thomas Road off-ramp closed on Wednesday evening after a multi-vehicle crash was reported.

Per reports from the Phoenix Police Department, their initial investigation indicated two cars traveling southbound on the L-101 Agua Fria Freeway collided in the right lanes, causing a rear-end crash near the Thomas Road off-ramp around 5:10 p.m. It appears at least one victim was either treated at the scene or transported to the hospital via ambulance with injuries, though further details on their condition and their identity have not been released.

It was also unclear whether any other victims involved in the accident were injured as well.

An investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash continues. Phoenix police have not released further details at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for a full recovery.
