Phoenix, AZ (October 29, 2020) – A multi-car accident blocked the left lanes of US 60 near Loop 101 on Thursday evening and resulted in at least one injury.
According to authorities on the scene, the crash occurred when at least three vehicles collided in the left lanes of US 60 eastbound, also known as the Superstition Freeway, on the Loop 101 Price on-ramp around 10:30 p.m. First responders arrived at the scene of the wreck to assist injured victims, and authorities from the Mesa Police Department are still working to determine the cause of the wreck. Highway Accidents in Arizona
A recent Arizona crash report released by the Department of Transportation showed almost 35,000 accident injuries statewide in 2018. And of that year’s nearly 55,000 total accidents, more than half involved several injured victims. Oftentimes, victims may even succumb to those injuries, causing a devastating situation that leaves grieving families to pick up the pieces.
In fact, there were 1,010 fatalities on the state’s roads last year, according to the annual crash facts report released Tuesday by the Arizona Department of Transportation.
And those involved in multi-vehicle accidents may experience a number of tragic, unforeseen consequences after a wreck, from long-term medical expenses and serious injuries to even job loss or death.
But those affected can contact a Phoenix crash lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek justice from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
