Phoenix, AZ – One Killed in Rollover Crash at 83rd Ave & Thomas Rd
Phoenix, AZ (June 30, 2020) – At least one person was killed in a rollover accident that occurred in west Phoenix early Monday morning.
According to officers with the Phoenix Police Department, the crash happened just after 4:00 a.m. near 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road. Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said a car was making a left turn onto Thomas from 83rd Avenue when it collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on 83rd Avenue. The car that was turning left then rolled over.
Phoenix EMTs arrived shortly after the crash occurred, but the driver in the vehicle that rolled over was pronounced dead on the scene. It’s unclear if any other injuries occurred, and the cause of the crash remains unknown. Officers are still investigating the wreck at this time.
