Phoenix, AZ (August 29, 2019) – Phoenix Police responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident that took place at the intersection of 27th Avenue and Camelback Road.

The crash took place Wednesday evening, near the Black Canyon Highway. Police are not sure of the circumstances leading up to the accident but have said that the driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.

The pedestrian received serious injuries and was hospitalized. Their condition is not known at this time.

Police closed down the intersection for some time following the accident. The closure continued for several hours.

At this time, the investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues.
