Phoenix, AZ (June 19, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck by a truck hauling dirt at a Buckeye construction site early Wednesday morning, around 8:30 a.m.

According to officials, the incident occurred near MC-85 and Perryville Road, where the truck struck the woman and pinned her underneath the vehicle. Emergency responders were able to pull the woman to safety and said that she was alert and conscious. She was transported to Banner University Hospital via medical helicopter.

Officials urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
