Phoenix, AZ (April 14, 2020) – A pedestrian was injured in a crash that occurred Tuesday on Interstate 17 at Cactus Road.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that the accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Authorities stated that only one vehicle appeared to be involved in the pedestrian crash and appeared to stay on the scene to cooperate with authorities. Officials say that it appears that the pedestrian was struck in the right northbound lanes. Paramedics were at the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.

Officers added that the Cactus Road on-ramp and off-ramp were closed and stated the accident remains under investigation.
