Phoenix, AZ – Pedestrian Struck & Killed on I-17 at Jomax Rd
Phoenix, AZ (November 18, 2019) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 17 Monday night.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the pedestrian was walking in the northbound lanes of I-17 at Jomax Road and was struck by a vehicle. The Department of Public Safety said that the investigation remains active, and it appears that Phoenix EMTs and fire rescue units were on the scene shortly after the incident occurred. It is unclear if the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene or transported to the hospital before they died.
