Phoenix, AZ (February 7, 2021) – A crash involving at least two vehicles shut down part of westbound Interstate 10 at the Salt River Bridge on Sunday morning, resulting in injuries.

According to local officers and fire rescue units, the crash happened just after 3:00 a.m. in the left lanes of the interstate, close to the 24th Street off-ramp and the Salt River Bridge. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that it appears that a sedan collided with another vehicle in a rear-end accident. No life-threatening injuries were reported, though Phoenix fire rescue units, as well as local paramedics, were at the scene to treat the injured victims and said that the crash was serious.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
