Phoenix, AZ (May 31, 2020) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department said that injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 early Sunday morning.

According to officers, the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. At least three sedans collided in the eastbound lanes of I-10, also known as the Papago Freeway, near the US 60 ramp. All sustained severe damage, and it appears that the accident may have been a chain-reaction collision initially caused by a rear-end accident.

Phoenix paramedics were at the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to a local area hospital; however, police are still investigating the crash at this time and haven’t provided an update on the victims’ current conditions.
