Phoenix, AZ – Rear-End Crash Causes Injuries on L-101 Pima at 15th Ave
Phoenix, AZ (January 22, 2021) – A crash left at least one person injured on Friday evening in Phoenix.
Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety shut down the right westbound lanes of Loop 101, also known as the Pima Freeway, shortly before 5:00 p.m. Officers from the Phoenix Police Department stated that the accident occurred just before the exit at 15th Avenue.
The lanes were reopened several hours later, though it’s unclear how the crash occurred at this time. The accident appeared to involve at least two vehicles in a possible rear-end accident. Phoenix EMTs were also dispatched to the scene of the wreck to treat victims and may have transported at least one victim to an area hospital.
The Phoenix Police Department is still investigating and has not released the victims’ information or their current conditions.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
Serious Car Accidents in Arizona
Per a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Arizona is one of the top five most dangerous states in the country for drivers and pedestrians. Serious accidents are a frequent occurrence across the state. Furthermore, fatalities and injuries from serious accidents are especially prevalent during the warmer months and into early fall.
Victims of these injury crashes go through physical and emotional trauma, often having to document their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies, and even deal with job loss. But individuals who are affected can seek help from a Phoenix personal injury lawyer, especially if they’ve been involved in an accident that’s caused by the negligent actions of another driver.
