Phoenix, AZ (October 23, 2020) – At least three vehicles collided on Interstate 17 on Friday evening, resulting in injuries.

According to officers with the Phoenix Police Department, all three vehicles involved were traveling on I-17 northbound, also known as the Black Canyon Freeway, near Union Hills Drive when the accident occurred. Police officials say that at least two sedans and one SUV collided near the off-ramp. News footage from the scene showed that all the vehicles sustained serious damage, though it’s unclear how the wreck occurred at this time.

First responders, including Phoenix fire and local EMTs, arrived at the site of the crash around 6:50 p.m., where they treated victims at the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to a local hospital. Authorities say that no further details were released regarding the drivers’ information or their current conditions.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
