Phoenix, AZ – Three Hospitalized After Two-Car Crash on Central Ave & Dobbins Rd
Phoenix, AZ (November 12, 2020) – Three people, including a young child, have been hospitalized after a serious injury crash occurred in south Phoenix on Thursday.
Per reports from the Phoenix Police Department and Phoenix fire rescue, crews responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Central Avenue and Dobbins Road around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday morning. When crews arrived at the scene of the accident, they discovered that a passenger van crashed into a semi-truck. News video from the scene showed the van with significant damage and a large debris field surrounding the crash area.
A child of unknown age, a 19-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old man were all rushed to the hospital via ambulance in serious condition.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours while police investigated. The accident remains under investigation at this time, and officers haven’t released further details about the cause of the accident.
