Phoenix, AZ (September 9, 2020) – Three people were rushed to the hospital via ambulance after a four-vehicle crash in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports from the Phoenix Police Department, the crash occurred at 48th Drive and McDowell Road. Phoenix Fire Captain Todd Keller says that when fire crews arrived on the scene, they discovered that four cars were involved in the crash, which occurred in the middle of the intersection.

Authorities say that an 18-year-old man, a 30-year-old man, and a 29-year-old man were transported to an area hospital via ambulance in serious condition. Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said that traffic was shut down in both eastbound and westbound directions on McDowell Road through the afternoon as officers investigated.

Officials with the Phoenix Police Department are still investigating and have not released the victims’ information or the cause of the crash at this time.
