Phoenix, AZ – Trooper Injured in Multi-Car Crash at 19th & Grand Aves
Phoenix, AZ (November 15, 2019) – According to officers from the Phoenix Police Department, an Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper was involved in a crash in Phoenix on Friday night.
Officials with the DPS say the wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 19th and Grand Avenues. Phoenix police officials say a marked DPS unit was traveling north on 19th Avenue when it was hit by an eastbound car that didn’t stop for a red light. The trooper was taken to a local hospital by a Phoenix paramedics, and the driver of the second car was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The intersection of 19th and Grand Avenues was restricted as police investigated. Authorities say that the crash investigation is ongoing.
