Phoenix, AZ – Truck Accident Closes Highway & Results in 2 Injuries on I-10 at 16th St
Phoenix, AZ (November 1, 2019) – A crash involving a semi-truck temporarily closed lanes and resulted in at least two injuries on eastbound Interstate 10 at 16th Street early Friday.
A commercial vehicle was separated from its trailer after a car drove across the lanes on the Papago Freeway, hitting the cab and knocking it off the trailer, per information from the Department of Public Safety. The trailer was blocking the middle lanes, and at least two people were injured though none had life-threatening injuries.
Phoenix paramedics were at the scene of the accident to treat victims and appeared to transport at least one to a local hospital.
The two left lanes and HOV were open, but the three right lanes remained blocked, according to information from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
