Phoenix, AZ – Two-Car Crash Causes Injuries on I-17 at Bell Rd

Phoenix, AZ (February 2, 2021) – Several injuries were reported after a crash on Interstate 17 at Bell Road on Tuesday evening.

Officials from the Phoenix Police Department said that the wreck occurred just before 10:30 p.m. and involved multiple vehicles. Some of the center and right were then closed or restricted as a result of the accident.

It’s unclear how the accident occurred, though officers and fire rescue units were dispatched to the scene shortly after the wreck occurred to collect evidence and clear the wreck. At this time, it appears that two sedans were involved in the accident and collided in the southbound lanes of I-17. Paramedics were also on the scene to treat victims and transport any victims who were seriously injured to a local area hospital.

Detectives on the scene are still working to piece together the moments leading up to the accident. The investigation into the crash continues at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
