Per official information from the scene, the multi-vehicle crash happened when at least two vehicles collided in the right and exit lanes of I-17 northbound, also known as the Black Canyon Freeway, at the Glendale Avenue off-ramp near Peoria around 12:50 p.m. Though officers with the Phoenix Police Department didn’t release specific details on how the accident occurred at this time, it appears that one sedan and one other passenger vehicle collided in an apparent rear-end accident.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
