Phoenix, AZ – 2 Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision at Thunderbird Rd

Phoenix, AZ (October 1, 2019) – Late Saturday night, two people were injured in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

According to Phoenix Police, the crash took place when a 21-year-old man in a Chevy Cavalier had been traveling north on 35th Avenue and did not stop for a red light at the intersection. This caused his vehicle to crash into a Honda Accord that was headed west.

The 30-year-old man in the Honda was ejected from his vehicle due to the force of the collision. The drivers were both hospitalized with injuries but are expected to survive.

Police believe that impairment may have led to the accident and continue their investigation at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families with hopes of a full recovery.
