Phoenix, AZ – Two Killed in Rollover Car Wreck on I-17 SB at L-303

Phoenix, AZ (December 5, 2020) – Two people have been killed following a rollover crash that occurred in north Phoenix on Saturday night.

According to officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Phoenix Police Department, state troopers responded to a crash on southbound Interstate 17, just south of the on-ramp from Loop 303. DPS says that a vehicle went rolling and came to rest about 20 to 30 yards off the right shoulder from the highway. The two people inside the vehicle were dead by the time rescue units arrived at the scene of the crash.

The on-ramp from Loop 303 to southbound I-17 was closed while troopers worked to determine what caused the crash. It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved, or if other injuries occurred.

The investigation is ongoing.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the deceased victims. Our thoughts are with any injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
