Prescott, AZ (September 3, 2019) – Police have confirmed that a woman was killed in a fatal accident that took place on Williamston Valley Road.

Authorities have since identified the woman as 18-year-old Southern California woman, Caitlyn Smiddy. The accident took place around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, although they have not yet confirmed all the details concerning what caused the accident.

Smiddy’s vehicle allegedly drove off the side of the road and into a ditch. As a result, she was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

There was a passenger in the vehicle as well, who was sent to the hospital with injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues.
