Queen Creek, AZ (August 31, 2020) – Authorities with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) say that two drivers were killed in a crash in Queen Creek early Monday morning.

Per initial reports from the scene, the accident happened around 10:00 a.m. near Hunt Highway and Wagon Wheel Road. According to officers with the MCSO, two cars collided in the intersection, and both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still piecing together the events leading up to the crash and have not said whether speed or impairment were factors in the collision. Roads in the area remained restricted throughout the day as officers collected evidence.

The investigation of this incident is still ongoing.
