Scottsdale, AZ (March 23, 2020) – A serious crash blocked the left lanes of State Route 51 near Cactus Road in Scottsdale and resulted in at least one injured victim on Monday evening.

Authorities say that the crash occurred when two SUVs collided in the left lanes of SR 51 northbound, also known as the Piestewa Freeway, past Cactus Road around 7:30 p.m. Police and fire rescue units were at the scene to assist injured victims and determine the cause of the crash, though the drivers’ information has not been released at this time.

The accident remains under investigation at this time, and further details have not been released.
