Scottsdale, AZ (December 16, 2019) – Five people were hospitalized after a head-on crash in north Scottsdale on early Monday morning.

According to officers from the Scottsdale Police Department, the crash happened near Happy Valley Road and Pima Road around 2:30 a.m. Fire officials say that two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash. Two of the victims are in critical condition and at least one person had to be freed from one of the vehicles by fire rescue units.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown, but road restrictions were in place while authorities investigated the collision.
