Scottsdale, AZ – Injuries Reported in 2-Car Crash on L-101 Pima at McDowell Rd
Scottsdale, AZ (February 21, 2020) – A crash involving two vehicles resulted in at least one injury on Loop 101 on Friday evening.
According to officers from the Scottsdale Police Department, the accident occurred when an SUV rear-ended another sedan in the right southbound lanes of Loop 101, also known as the Pima Freeway. The collision occurred near the McDowell Road off-ramp around 6:30 p.m.
Police and fire rescue units were dispatched to the scene to assist at least one seriously injured victim. It appeared that Phoenix paramedics transported that victim to the hospital via ambulance, though there is no update on their current condition. In addition to the two drivers involved, at least one passenger was traveling in one of the vehicles when the wreck occurred.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
